On Friday, 30 October, a press conference on the upcoming European Futnet Championships was held in the Municipal Sports Hall in Humenné where the EC is due to take place on 13-15 November.
Present at the press conference were (pictured from left to right) Marián Mihok, head of the organising committee, Ondrej Bartko, head of Humenné town council, Gabriel Viňanský, President of Slovak Futnet Association, Marián Žigala, coach of the Slovak national team and Ján Brutovský, captain of the Slovak national team.
Mr Viňanský welcomed the press and said a few introductory words about the EC.
Mr Mihok talked about more than 30 years of futnet history in Humenné, that the EC preparations are going as planned and that they are really looking forward to hosting a top futnet event.
Mr Bartko expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the town council and the organising committee and said that the town fully supported organisers efforts as they have done also with other events.
Mr Žigala talked about the three-day training camp of the national team that was starting that very day, that all the players were coming and he gave a list of nine players called up for the camp. The final Slovak line-up for the EC would be confirmed the week of the event.
Last but not least, Mr Brutovský said he hoped that the media presence as well as the work of the organising committe would attract big audience and confirmed also the words of the coach that they aim for the finals in all disciplines.
